Rudolph: Everything in Christmastown feels a bit rundown; the citizens are unhappy, the workers are mistreated, money is running out, and there are definitely no OSHA regulations. To make this Christmastown, we decided to take some elements from the original stop motion, exaggerate them, and give everything a good layer of grime and glitter. Set pieces were designing to be compact and mobile for speedy scene changes.
Reviews:
The entire production team crushes it in this one. -Buzz Center Stage
The production's enhanced by Marquecia Jordan's cartoon-inspired costumes, wonderous wigs by Keith Ryan ..., marvelous makeup designs by Syd Genco..., with colorful compact scenic and lighting designs by Marcus Klein and Liz Cooper, respectively. -Chicago Theatre Review
